Learning how to
meditate is good for
the mind, body and soul especially when
you deal with emotional
stress.
Emotional stress is the kind that accumulates from the
every day things we do. Stress of this type can
be emotionally draining and damaging to the body.
Emotional stress may be from financial concerns, the
demands at work, your relationship with your spouse or other
family
members. Even positive events such as getting
married can lead to tension and anxiety.
Learning how to meditate is as easy as finding a few minutes
each day to sit, relax and breathe deeply which has
proven happiness and health benefits.
Four Easy Steps to Calm the Mind
These
suggestions work and don’t let
anyone
tell you otherwise!
Pick a
comfortable, quiet spot and sit with your back straight yet
relaxed. Close your eyes and focus on your breathing. Try
to count to twenty
without
letting your mind wander.
Keep
inhaling
and exhaling concentrating on how your breath feels. If you
get distracted, it's okay. Just focus on your breath and
continue.
Remain
seated quietly for a few more minutes savoring
the stillness
and
let your inner strength guide you toward total relaxation.
Finish
by setting a good intention such as “I
will be
my best self" or "Today will be a great day", or "I embrace
life".

Why You Should De-Stress Your Life
You may have already asked yourself why you would want to sit
quietly for a few minutes to breathe when you have things to do and
places to be. You can breathe while you run your errands
right?
Learning how to meditate is
a great way to boost
your emotional and
physical well being!
Science has shown that stress is the underlying cause of
some forms
of illness such as headaches, fatigue, high blood
pressure, memory loss, indigestion, insomnia and a weakened immune
system.
Stress builds up until various processes of the body
start to break down.
Since most of us have to deal with some level of stress
every day,
we can either continue life as is or we can do something about
it.
By training your mind to focus, you develop the power to
choose your own path to inner peace, joy and happiness.
When you focus on your own intentions a few minutes each day you will
learn to appreciate how a few
minutes of silence can help you reconnect with your inner self.
Training your attention will take lifelong practice but you
may find
that it offers a quick and easy way to calm a stressed out body, mind
and soul.
