My interest in health and fitness (some may call it an obsession) started a few years ago. I had just turned 45 but felt much older than that. I was run down and had little energy to get through my day. It was also the bulging fat around my stomach, thighs and arms that motivated me to make some changes. 

The hard part was getting started. Life was busy! I loved my job (though stressful at times) and have a terrific husband, two amazing kids, a yellow lab, two Manx cats and house to take care of which left very little time for me. 

I was a successful working Mom and life was good 
but something was missing...

It was my health that was missing but it took me three years to realize how bad it really was. It goes without saying that the process of getting fit and losing weight was hard work - and it still is. But the effort was definitely worth it because I am in the best shape ever and have the confidence to face my 50th birthday head on!
